Welcome!!! I started this blog with the intentions of sharing the blessings I've been given and advocating for those who have Down syndrome. I have been given the amazing opportunity to live and raise my family in the country. I also want to share the blessings of having a daughter with Down syndrome. There's tons of information out there, much of it scary and a bit on the negative side; I want people to see my daughter and other's like her as the wonderful people they are, not for the disability they have.
On Tuesdays, I plan on sharing a recipe. On Thursday's, I plan on sharing something to do with Down syndrome, and the rest of the week will be whatever comes up!
About Me:
During my career as a teacher, I've taught jr. high, fourth, and fifth grades. I have my bachelor's degree in k-9 education and my master's degree in education with an emphasis on english as a second language. I am married to an amazing husband and father, and we have a beautiful daughter who had Down syndrome.
